According to reports from the Daily Record, Rangers are set to snap up Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor on a free transfer this summer.
The Gers are already attempting to secure a deal for Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield, and director of football Mark Allen could tie up another move by securing McGregor.
McGregor, 36, is a product of the Rangers youth academy, and went on to make nearly 300 appearances for the club before heading to Besiktas in 2012.
Spells with Hull City and Cardiff City followed, but he now looks set to make a shock return to Ibrox on a two-year deal when his Hull deal ends this summer.

McGregor is expected to supplant Wes Foderingham as Rangers’ first-choice goalkeeper next season, and his move comes off the back of a fine campaign with Hull.
Rangers fans largely seem pleased with the move, but Hull fans have been left frustrated, and feel that McGregor is just the first of what will be a mass exodus this summer.
Others pleaded with McGregor to stay, but ultimately can’t blame him for moving on given that Hull didn’t sort out a new deal for him, and believe a move back to Rangers may have been too good to turn down.
