Newcastle United pair Mohamed Diame and Isaac Hayden helped Hull City to promotion last season.
Hull City were faced with Newcastle United pair Mo Diame and Issac Hayden for the first time since their summer moves to Newcastle United, in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
Both players helped the Tigers to promotion last season, with Diame scoring the goal that secured their ascent at Wembley.

The Senegal midfielder never made it back to the Premier League, however, after Newcastle triggered his £4.5m release clause, having already acquired Hayden – who had been on loan at the KCOM Stadium – on a permanent deal from Arsenal.
The pair looked to have got one over their former employers when Diame struck in the first half of extra time, but 10-man Hull fought back immediately through Robert Snodgrass, to take the tie to penalties.

And it was they who had the last laugh, as Eldin Jakupovic saved two of Newcastle’s spot-kicks to send his side through to the semi-finals.
Here’s what the Hull fans had to say about their former players afterwards. Naturally, some tweets are more publishable than others…
@sir_cornflake: Diame and Hayden looking great. Two more examples of your ******* incompetence Ehab #hcafc #AllamOut
@JoshSenior3: Fair play to Diame not celebrating, but @IsaacHayden65 is a **** isn’t he?! #hcafc
