Grayson has been in charge of Preston since 2013 and he guided them to promotion to the Championship in the 2014/15 season and he has cemented them in England’s second tier.
Preston were in contention for the play-offs this season before finishing in 11th spot and Grayson has impressed with the work he has done at Deepdale on a shoe-string budget.
Grayson has a wealth of experience having been in charge of over 600 games in his managerial career and he has also steered the likes of Leeds, Huddersfield, and Blackpool to promotion to the Championship.
Hull are keen to bring in a new manager with experience of the Championship and Grayson’s knowledge of the league makes him an attractive proposition to the Hull hierarchy.
