New Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce poses after the press conference with chief executive Keith Wyness
Hull City captain Curtis Davies has spoken to talkSPORT today (14/10/16) about the potential of his former Tigers boss Steve Bruce to make transfer moves on Hull players in the winter.
Bruce was appointed the new Aston Villa manager this week, taking over from Roberto Di Matteo, having been out of work since leaving Hull in the summer.
The Hull team he left had just won promotion to the Premier League so there will be plenty of players among them that Bruce will know can cut it in the Championship.

Hull captain Davies, a former Aston Villa player, admitted that Bruce may want to pluck some of his team-mates away from the KCOM Stadium, but that would come at a price:
“With any manager they obviously have players they’ve worked with they’d like to take wherever they’ve gone. I know the manager took (Mohamed) El Mohamady and (David) Meyler from Sunderland to Hull.

“He has a strong squad there. He’ll have to decide, when it comes to the next window, whether he wants to strengthen and how much he’d have to pay to get one of us out of Hull!”
One Hull player has already been heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa. Uruguayan striker Abel Hernandez was initially linked in the summer and the presence of Bruce at Villa Park is undoubtedly going to see those rumours pick up once again.

Aston Villa already have plenty of talent available but Bruce will undoubtedly have his eye on a few of his Hull old boys to help them rise up the Championship table.
