Rangers are reportedly in talks with former goalkeeper McGregor.

Hull City manager Nigel Adkins has been quoted by the Daily Record as saying that he wants to keep Rangers target Allan McGregor at the KCOM Stadium ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 36-year-old is set to see his contract with the Championship strugglers expire at the end of the season, leaving him available to make a free transfer elsewhere and even discuss a pre-contract agreement with other clubs.
STV reported that the 38-time Scotland international was in talks with the Gers over a move that would see him rejoin the Scottish giants, six years after leaving the club to join Turkish side Besiktas.

However, little has been reported since talks were claimed at the end of April, and Hull boss Adkins has now claimed he wants to keep the veteran stopper at the club after an excellent 2017-18 campaign between the sticks.
“He is a great professional and I want him to be at the football club,” McGregor said. “Likewise, he’s got his representatives and he’s got to get the best deal for him because obviously he is at the latter stages of his career.
“I still think he’s got many years in front of him but he’s at the latter stages of his career. He’s got to get the deal that’s right for him and his family.”

McGregor missed just two Championship outings all season as he played a pivotal part in helping the Tigers remain in the second tier of English football, when relegation seemed a real possibility at one point.
The former Cardiff and Dunfermline star kept 12 clean sheets in a side that finished in 19th place in the Championship, tempting Rangers to consider a move. However, his future has now become cloudier following Adkins’ comments.
