Hull City suffered a defeat in what was a crucial game in their quest for Premier League survival, and the Liverpool loanee was heavily criticised.
Leicester City’s Christian Fuchs in action with Hull City’s Lazar Markovic
Hull City and Liverpool fans have been reacting on Twitter after Lazar Markovic endured a miserable afternoon during the Tigers’ clash with Leicester City.
Marco Silva’s men went into the game against the Foxes knowing that the contest could have major implications for their hopes of Premier League survival given that the managerless champions were just three points above them in the table.
And it appeared that they may be on their way to closing that gap completely as Sam Clucas handed them the lead at the King Power Stadium after just 14 minutes.
However, goals from Christian Fuchs, Riyad Mahrez and then an own goal from Tom Huddlestone saw Leicester secure the three points and leave Hull four points off safety.

Markovic was arguably one of the Tigers’ worst players on the day, often leaving Ahmed Elmohamady having to deal with the likes of Fuchs and Marc Albrighton on his own down Leicester’s left flank, which proved costly.
Unsurprisingly, fans of both Hull and his parent club Liverpool were not impressed with the winger. While he has shown at times that he has talent the make an impact in the Premier League, his inconsistency and occasional lack of effort is hampering Hull’s survival bid and leaving Reds fans unconvinced that he has any future at Anfield.
Here is the best of the reaction…
