Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has worn the armband for many years for Mauricio Pochettino’s side now.

Lloris has been criticised at Tottenham from some sections of their fan base for not being enough of a leader to wear the armband.
Often it has been Danny Rose and Harry Kane who have been credited as being the most vocal players in Tottenham’s dressing room.
However, Lloris, who is on a £100,000-a-week contract (Spotrac), insists that he has also let his teammates know when they have fallen short of the standards expected at Spurs.
“Of course, many times, but I don’t need to tell it,” he said. “I grew up with this approach: everything that happens in the changing room has to stay in the changing room.
“Of course, now football changes a little bit and it’s easy to find out what happens, but you guys don’t know everything!”

Lloris enjoys a strong bond with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and has worn the armband for years now.
Even though Kane captains England, he still hasn’t been able to displace the Frenchman at Spurs, which shows just how highly regarded he is by the management team at Hotspur Way.
Lloris will be in action for Spurs later this evening, when they take on Olympiacos.
