Hugo Lloris’ phenomenal form for Tottenham Hotspur has been one of the shining lights of their season so far.

When it comes to teams turning their seasons around, Tottenham Hotspur are right up there with the best of them. Following a poor run of form many were questioning their credentials for the remainder of the season, but they have battled through with shining colours and one of the big reasons for that is the club’s goalkeeper.

France captain Hugo Lloris has consistently put in some top performances this campaign, as well as popping up with a number of vital saves that have secured the three points for Spurs. The 30-year-old has been one of their best signings of recent times at White Hart Lane, highlighted by the following statistic by Sky Sports News and Opta.

As you can see, the Frenchman’s save rate among the top six sides in the Premier League this season is 74%, leaving him above all his nearest rivals. Whilst some may still turn their nose up at that due to the omission of the other 26%, that’s a pretty big number given how busy he’s been since August for Tottenham.

By comparison, the likes of Claudio Bravo have struggled to adjust to life in the Premier League this year which proves just how well Lloris has done over the last few years to keep up with the style of play here in England. Which ever way you look at it, it can’t be denied that Lloris is well and truly in the running for best goalkeeper in the division as we enter the business end of the campaign.
