Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has suggested to The Mirror that speculation over the future of Harry Kane is not affecting the striker.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and has been in stunning form for the past three or so years.

The England international has been the subject of speculation, with The Mirror recently claiming that Real Madrid are planning to make a £150 million move for him.

Spurs goalkeeper Lloris, though, has suggested that such speculation on his future is not affecting Kane, which will surely be music to the ears of the Tottenham fans who could be worried about the striker’s future.

The 24-year-old striker will line up for Tottenham in their Champions League match against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu this evening.

Lloris, who is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, has been on the books of Spurs since the summer of 2012 when he joined from French club Lyon for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £11.8 million.

“It’s part of football,” Lloris told The Mirror about speculation surrounding Kane. “It’s been going on for a while now. It happens every week.

“It’s about for there to be speculation about Harry Kane. He’s done such fantastic things for Tottenham and for sure will continue in this way.

“Harry has talked enough about his commitment to Tottenham and his love for the club. It’s just part of football through the media. He will not be distracted. Quite the opposite.”

Meanwhile, Eric Dier has said that he is enjoying playing with Harry Winks in the Tottenham midfield.

“I think we’ve got fantastic midfielders, fantastic players all over the pitch and as a team we have a very good understanding of each other,” Dier told Tottenham’s official website about playing with Winks in central midfield.

“Me and Winksy are no different. We have a great understanding but I think those things just happen naturally really.

“It’s really enjoyable to play alongside him and I think we complement each other well, so it’s positive.”
