Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was left red-faced at the weekend, but his error did not stop Mauricio Pochettino’s side picking up three points.

Hugo Lloris has told the Telegraph that he has never seen a lack of professionalism at Tottenham Hotspur from any player.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that his squad are ‘unsettled’ and have ‘different agendas’ during the season so far.

However, Lloris, who is on a £100,000-a-week contract (Spotrac), insists that he has never seen any bad attitude from any Tottenham player.

Lloris has been watching his Spurs teammates closely in training and on the pitch, but he believes everyone is committed to the cause.

“It is the responsibility of every player involved in the squad and the team to stick together,” he said, after Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Southampton.

“The game showed that the togetherness is still in the club. It has been two or three months that we have worked together, since pre-season.

“I have seen all the players involved, ready to help. Of course there are different situations to deal with, but not at any moment have I seen a lack of professionalism from a player.”

Tottenham’s win over Southampton was massively hard fought, as the Lilywhites managed to find a way to win with just 10 men.

Spurs had taken the lead in the contest, but then saw Serge Aurier sent off for picking up two yellow cards.

Lloris then inexplicably tried a turn inside his own box only to get tackled by Danny Ings and present Southampton with an equaliser.

Many teams would have folded at this point, but Spurs stood firm, and Harry Kane fired them back into the lead, as they held on to claim the three points and silence some of the criticism they have faced.
