Hugo Lloris will be hoping Tottenham Hotspur can secure their first clean sheet of the season when they take on Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur have endured an indifferent start to the season, with one win, two draws and one loss to their name.
They have conceded six goals from their opening four Premier League matches and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is yet to keep a clean sheet.
Last season, there were times when the Frenchman was being questioned and there were even suggestions from some fans that he should be dropped from the starting XI because of what he was producing in between the sticks.
Despite those previous troubles for Lloris, the off-field mess of this campaign for the team, which has filtered onto the pitch, the Frenchman’s performances have gone under the radar this term.
Whilst he hasn’t been able to keep a clean sheet, that isn’t entirely his fault because the defence in front of him has just been a mess and hasn’t been its true self.
From the absence of Jan Vertonghen to Davinson Sanchez playing at right-back, it hasn’t easy for Lloris, but he has dealt with it brilliantly.
According to WhoScored, Lloris has been given a rating over just over seven this season and considering the goals he has conceded, that is pretty impressive.
Whilst the tests will continue to come for Lloris, in these opening few games, he has cut out the mistakes, been calm at the back and dealt with any trouble.
At the weekend, Lloris will be hoping to be rewarded as he and Spurs bid to secure three points and a clean sheet against Crystal Palace.
