Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Hugo Lloris could sign a new contract and continue to work with Antonio Conte at Spurs.

Hugo Lloris new Spurs contract rumour

The Athletic have reported that Spurs are confident that Lloris will put pen to paper on a new deal.

The France international goalkeeper is out of contract at Tottenham at the end of the season.

Lloris reportedly wanted to leave Spurs for AS Roma in the summer of 2021.

Jose Mourinho is in charge of Roma now, and the former Chelsea boss worked with the France international goalkeeper at Spurs.

However, according to The Athletic, Lloris now wants to stay at Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur fans pleased

As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans are delighted at the prospect of Lloris staying at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Well, some of them anyway.

The 34-year-old remains the number one goalkeeper at Spurs despite the North London club signing Pierluigi Gollini on loan from Atalanta in the summer of 2021.

The £100,000-a-week goalkeeper (SalarySport) remains a key figure in the team.

Spurs are starting to get good results now, and Lloris will play his role in the North London club’s quest to finish in the Premier League top four this season.
