Tottenham Hotspur will face Manchester City in the Premier League this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has told The Guardian that his side can win against Manchester City this weekend.
Spurs will take on City at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Lloris, who is likely to start for the North London outfit, has stated that his side can pick up all three points from the encounter.
“It’s true that the Guardiola effect took place very early at City but we are more focused on ourselves,” the France international goalkeeper told The Guardian.
“We know that we are able to do great things against top teams. In front of our crowd, anything is possible.”
City have a better squad and a better team than Tottenham, but playing at home is certainly going to give Mauricio Pochettino’s side an advantage.
The first goal will be key. It is hard to see Spurs lose if they open the scoring at White Hart Lane, as they have defensively solid enough not to concede twice.
Sunday afternoon’s match promises to be hugely entertaining and exciting, and it should be an open encounter.
City have won all six of their Premier League matches so far this season, while Spurs have picked up 14 points.
Victory over Pep Guardiola’s side on Sunday afternoon would give Spurs their second-best start to a top-flight season, bettered only by their title-winning 1960-61 campaign.
