Tottenham face Real Madrid with the chance to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Hugo Lloris has heaped huge praise on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in Guillem Balague’s column with Spanish newspaper AS, as the north Londoners prepare to face Real Madrid.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side lock horns with the Champions League holders for a second time in the space of a fortnight at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday evening, with the chance to qualify for the last 16 of the competition.
Speaking prior to the match, Spurs skipper Lloris delivered an honest verdict on England international Kane, as he continues to top the goalscoring charts in the Premier League.

“He is a competitor and works hard,” Lloris said. “It’s like me, he likes to challenge himself. That’s why he’s so ambitious and he’s so sure of himself. He wants to score goals all the time, and if he scores a goal he wants to score two.
“It’s a kind of leadership. He does not need to talk, make noise or show off in the locker room. He just needs to show himself. This is what young players should see. The leader is shown in the field, in training, in the gym, in the game.
“Kane is the perfect example because if he has to stay late to finish a session, he will stay. Enjoy working. And football evolves so fast that you can not play without doing a very strong job.”

Kane, 24, has been in electric form for Spurs this season, scoring 13 goals in just 12 league and cup encounters including a hat-trick against APOEL Nicosia as well as a brace against Liverpool.
However, Spurs’ number 10 missed his side’s loss to Manchester United on Saturday due to a hamstring strain and faces a battle to prove his fitness in time to face Real Madrid.
