The 25-year-old midfielder, who joined the Red Devils from Juventus in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £89 million, has struggled with form and fitness issues this season.
Tottenham goalkeeper Lloris, who has been on the books of the North London club since the summer of 2012 when he joined from Lyon for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £11.8m, has defended Pogba.
Lloris told Sky Sports about Pogba: “Paul stays a strong player in our team, he is one of our leaders.
“This season is a little bit complicated but he was injured so that could explain why he was not consistent all the time.
“But he already proved with Manchester or France that he is one of the best players in the world if he is at 100 per cent. Now he is more mature.”
Class is permanent
Pogba may have struggled to play to the best of his ability during his time at United so far, but there is no doubt that the France international is a quality midfielder.
It is only a time before the 25-year-old, who earns £200,000 per week as salary at United according to The Daily Mail, comes good.
