Tottenham will have at least two France internationals in their side this season.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been talking to the club’s website about new signing Moussa Sissoko, who arrived on deadline day in a dramatic late move from Newcastle United.
The Spurs captain knows better than most the qualities Tottenham’s new boy possesses, having won a big chunk of his international football alongside the former Newcastle United and Toulouse star.

And Lloris, who could feature alongside Sissoko against Stoke as he recovers from an injury he received on the opening day of the season, had plenty of good things to say about his compatriot.
“He is very powerful and I think he is a different profile of player for us, so he will give us another option offensively,” the Tottenham skipper told the club’s website.
“The good thing is that he’s played in the Premier League for a while so he knows the competition well and he’s a high-level player because he’s played for the national team too.
“It’s true that our squad is very young and the young players need more experienced players around them. This is my responsibility too. We need to show everyone the right way, the correct way and try to bring everyone in the same direction but it’s quite easy because the spirit is great.”

29-year-old Lloris has 82 caps to his name having first been selected by Les Bleus in 2008. Since then, the goalkeeper has pretty much been first choice for his country, assuming the captaincy after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Sissoko has been present for much of that, with his first call-up coming in 2009. Though the powerful midfielder has won just a fraction of the caps his new club teammate has claimed – Sissoko has under 50 – he was a key figure in France’s march to the final in the recent European Championships, something the goalkeeper noted when explaining how why he fits well with Spurs.
“I know him very well, we have been together with the national team for a while,” Lloris added. “I think he’s the kind of player that can help the team to achieve good things and, for sure, he will adapt quickly to our philosophy and our style.”
“Especially in the last two games against Germany and Portugal [in the Euros], I think he was one of our best players.
“Moussa’s spirit is fantastic because he didn’t start at the beginning of the tournament but he finished the competition as a starter. He is very committed, he is always ready to help the team and that’s why he’s an international player.”
