Don Hutchison has criticised Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris on Twitter for his performance for France against Belgium.
What’s the story?
Tottenham goalkeeper Lloris was in action for France in the UEFA Nations League semi-final tie against Belgium last night.
France came from two goals down to win the match 3-2.
Don Hutchison’s verdict
Former Liverpool midfielder Hutchison was not impressed with Lloris’s performance, as you can see below.
Hutchison, who now works as a pundit for ESPN and Premier League Productions, believes that the 34-year-old goalkeeper – who earns £100,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac – should have saved Yannick Carrasco’s goal.
In the end, it did not matter as France won the match, but in hindsight, Lloris could have done better for Belgium’s first goal.

It could have been costly for France.
However, we must also praise the 34-year-old Spurs goalkeeper for making two superb saves to deny Belgium and Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
Goalkeepers, like outfield players, do make mistakes.
We have to accept that.
Yes, a goalkeeper’s mistake can cost a team the win, but that is part and parcel of the game.
