Hugo Lloris has spoken about PSG’s reported interest in Antonio Conte, with the Tottenham manager a contender to replace former Spurs man Mauricio Pochettino this summer.
Speaking to Europe 1 via GFFN, the Tottenham captain revealed that he is not surprised that the Ligue 1 leaders are keeping tabs on Conte, with PSG eager to find a manager who can finally lead them to glory in the UEFA Champions League.
Conte’s future with Spurs has been nervy ever since the former Inter Mila boss joined the north London side this season, with comments and interviews from the Italian indicating that he isn’t too pleased with how Tottenham is run.
That being said, Tottenham currently find themselves as one of the favourites to secure fourth spot in the Premier League, with Spurs just three points off Arsenal in the standings and due to play the Gunners in what could be one of the final games of the season.
Indeed, a top-four finish would more than likely see Conte remain with Tottenham, yet for Lloris, he is not surprised that the £15m-a-year manager is already on the radar of other top European clubs.
The Tottenham captain said: “I think all the best managers are linked with PSG since they are chasing elite status and a Champions League victory. And for that, they try to trust the best. So, we know the football industry. All these rumours, all this speculation. We’re in our bubble and we’re doing the best for our club.”
Conte could make PSG move if Tottenham fail to qualify for UCL

Conte’s time at Tottenham seemingly looks to be a matter of ‘when’ the Italian will quit the club rather than ‘if’, and that situation could come as soon as this summer if Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Moreover, with PSG likely to hand Conte an endless transfer budget, the 52-year-old could be tempted to move to the French capital if they are to award the manager a lucrative contract and the keys to the castle.
