Tottenham Hotspur haven’t signed a single player in well over a year.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has told ESPN that chairman Daniel Levy needs to splash the cash this summer.
Spurs didn’t spend a penny in the January window or last summer’s one, ahead of their long-awaited move to the new White Hart Lane.
Tottenham were considered Premier League title challengers only last month, but a horrendous run of form consisting of one point from a possible 12 has put paid to their chances of pipping Liverpool and Manchester City to the crown.
Still, Mauricio Pochettino has done remarkably well to keep the North Londoners somewhat competitive when you consider the disparity in expenditure, in comparison to their rivals.
But Lloris feels that the Lilywhites – who officially move into the stadium next month – need to start spending in order to compete with the bigger clubs in England.
“We manage to be very competitive with a completely different philosophy to our rivals. To give us even more credit, we have to win something,” he told ESPN.
“We’re going to have one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world, and that’s great, but we have to accompany that progression: I think it will be very difficult to take a step up without recruiting.”
Lloris, who earns £100,000 per week [Spotrac], is right.
Tottenham haven’t won a trophy under Pochettino in the five years that he’s been in North London and the longer that wait goes on, the more susceptible they’ll be to losing some names, like Harry Kane and Dele Alli for instance.
