David Prutton thinks it’s ‘huge’ that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could be a potential injury worry for England at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Whilst England fans are still lapping up their 6-2 win over Iran on Monday, rumours circulating about captain Harry Kane won’t be easy to digest for supporters.
Over the years at Spurs, the 29-year-old has had issues with his ankle, well, it seems as though he is going to have a scan on his right ankle after hobbling off against Iran, as reported by BBC Sport.

This would be a huge blow for the Three Lions if their star man misses out, even though Prutton acknowledged that Newcastle striker Callum Wilson can fill in, as he told Sky Sports News (23/11/22 at 8:15 am).
“Huge, not just as a player, but as a person and leading the way that he does,” said Prutton. “He didn’t get on the scoresheet, which would have been very frustrating, for him, I am sure.
“I think Callum (Wilson) coming on and doing well is a bright spark. I think the group is good enough to make a difference without him.”

KANE’S INJURY WORRY
England have points on the board, so from that perspective, the pressure has been eased heading into their games against the USA and Wales.
Plus, as they showed from their opening Group B match, Kane didn’t even score, yet Gareth Southgate’s side still managed to hit six.
Without Kane, if he so happens to miss Friday’s game against the US, it should still be plain sailing for England, including against the Welsh.
But, from then on, they don’t want to be without their star man heading into the knockout stages.
