Fabinho has told Liverpool’s official website that he has been very impressed by Curtis Jones.

Jones has been given some game time in Liverpool’s senior line-up since the Premier League title was wrapped up and he has not looked out of place.

The teenager started in Liverpool’s most recent game against Burnley, which finished as a 1-1 draw.

And Fabinho has praised the impact that the Reds prospect has had.

“Curtis is a very talented player, of course he has huge potential. We have a lot of confidence in him. He works very hard with us and he has a lot of personality,” the Brazilian midfielder said.

Jones was unable to help Liverpool to victory in his latest outing, with the Reds drawing 1-1 with Burnley at Anfield.

The youngster still did his reputation no harm with his showing though, as he proved once again he is ready for a role in Liverpool’s first team.

Jones has now made four league appearances for Liverpool this term, and there is a feeling he could play even more regularly next term.

Liverpool could lose Adam Lallana this summer, and Jones may well see his game time increased if the England international does depart.
