Arsenal fans have praised Matteo Guendouzi after he scored twice in a 4-1 victory for Marseille last night.
Brace for Guendouzi
Arsenal opted to loan out Guendouzi in the summer, after the young French midfielder appeared to fall out of favour with Mikel Arteta.
Guendouzi has since gone on to impress at Marseille, and now has four goal contributions in just nine games since heading to France.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are currently without Granit Xhaka – leaving their midfield options looking short.
And plenty of Arsenal fans feel that they have made a mistake by letting him go, after seeing his performance yesterday.
Attitude in question?
Guendouzi’s problem at Arsenal may not actually have been with his ability.
Instead the youngster appeared to lose favour due to questions over his attitude.
Whether his impressive loan spell could force him back into favour at the Emirates Stadium remains to be seen now.
If Guendouzi keeps up his performance levels then he may well put himself back on Arteta’s radar.
And it will be interesting to see whether his recent showings are making Arsenal consider bringing him back to North London.
