Owen Hargreaves raved about the goal from Rangers star Ryan Kent on BT Sport 1 (11:06pm, February 18, 2021) and was impressed by the impact that the winger made for Steven Gerrard’s side against Royal Antwerp.
Rangers got the better of Antwerp 4-3 away from home in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 32 tie on Thursday evening.
It was a very exciting game of football which was decided by a late penalty from Borna Barisic.
Kent played a big role in the win for Rangers, as the former Liverpool winger came on as a substitute and scored in the 83rd minute.
The 24-year-old winger took the ball past a defender and then fired it home.
Former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves was impressed by the goal from Kent and praised the winger.
Ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton praised Rangers defender Barisic for maintaining his cool under pressure when he took his second penalty for the Gers.

Hargreaves said about Kent on BT Sport 1 (11:06pm, February 18, 2021), as transcribed by The Daily Record: “This is what you want to talk about – players like this and a goal like this. A little chop there, lovely little one-two.
“You want to talk about this and not the referees who have had an absolute nightmare in the game to be honest with you. But this is a terrific goal from Ryan Kent, he came off the bench and had a huge impact. That is just so sharp, great finish.”
Sutton said about Barisic on BT Sport 1 (11:06pm, February 18, 2021), as transcribed by The Daily Record: “I have to say, Barisic’s second penalty: pressure on, absolutely stunning.”
Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus and ex-Rangers striker Ryan Hardie, now on the books of Plymouth Argyle, have given their take on the win for the Gers on Twitter.
