Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are getting very excited about Emile Smith-Rowe’s promise.

The 19-year-old has been enjoying a brilliant half-season loan from Arsenal at Huddersfield Town since January.

Smith-Rowe, a Gunners product, impressed in a 0-0 draw away to Reading earlier this week.

And some fans of the North London club believe that their teenage midfielder is showing shades of a certain Kevin de Bruyne in the way that he plays the game.

Here’s how Arsenal supporters reacted as a montage of Smith-Rowe’s best bits against the Royals surfaced on Twitter:

This is a glorious time for the North Londoners in terms of young prospects.

They arguably have two of the finest teenagers in the United Kingdom right now in Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, both of whom put pen to paper on long-term contracts last week.

And it’ll be fascinating to see if Smith-Rowe can impress Mikel Arteta during pre-season with a view toward staying with the Spaniard’s senior side next season.
