Alan Shearer told Premier League Productions (15/08/21 at 7:00 pm) that Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son has ‘huge amounts of ability’.
Spurs recorded a deserved 1-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday – their four consecutive win against Pep Guardiola’s side on home soil.
Once again, Son was the man to put them away as his left-footed strike in the second half was enough to seal the points.
Shearer thinks Son is an ‘infectious’ character in the Spurs dressing room and he thinks Nuno Espirito Santo’s plan worked to perfection.
“He’s infectious,” said Shearer. “He obviously has huge amounts of ability. He signed a new contract, what a better way than to celebrate the winner.
“From a Tottenham point of view, there’s no doubt they have worked on that.
“When you work on something leading up to the game, it happens in the game, the pride and the emotion you must feel.
“Not just him, but the manager as well because he has set that up and it has worked to perfection.”

Only Jamie Vardy has scored more goals against Manchester City than Son, who is proving that he can be the main guy if a certain star striker does leave.
Of course, Son needs Harry Kane by his side and vice versa, but Tottenham’s £22 million man (Mirror) is proving that he can fill the void if his partner in crime leaves.
There has been a lot of talk about Kane’s future and it seems during this next week all will become a lot more clear.
Kane couldn’t feature against Man City because he only started training on Friday, but if he’s not in the squad to face Wolves next week then it will only add to the drama.
