Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner sees next opponents Sheffield Wednesday as promotion favourites and anticipates a tight match on Sunday.
Wagner’s first fixture as boss at John Smith’s Stadium was against the Owls last November but the German feels both teams have come a long way.

At his pre-game press conference, as reported on Twitter, he said: “I see Sheffield Wednesday as a favourite for promotion.
“I have a lot of respect for the Sheffield Wednesday head coach. He has a top team. We need to come to our best performance on Sunday.
“My first game last November was against them. We have both improved since then and I expect another very tight game.”

Huddersfield are currently top of the Championship, having won eight of their 11 matches and have yet to lose a match at home.
The last meeting between the two clubs ended in Wednesday defeating Huddersfield 1-0 at St John’s Stadium but the Owls have only won one road game this season and they will be facing almost an unrecognisable Terriers side.
As his first full season at the club, Wagner has implemented what fans have dubbed the “Wagner Revolution” signing no fewer than 13 players this summer.
But despite the impressive start, the 44-year-old believes there’s still more work to be done, adding: “In just over 10 months, we are on our way – but we still have room to improve in every single area on the pitch.

“I am really happy at Huddersfield. We have taken steps but they are only the first steps.”
Wagner confirmed Joe Lolley would be absent until January after having surgery on his foot.
He also stated the decision on star midfielder Aaron Mooy’s inclusion in Sunday’s squad will be made on Saturday as they wait to see if he is fresh enough after the Australian’s long flight back from international duty.
The game will be televised on Sky Sports from the John Smith’s Stadium at 12pm on Sunday.
