The Huddersfield Town striker would be an excellent addition for Glasgow Rangers.

Gers boss Pedro Caixinha has a lot of work to do between now and the start of the Scottish Premiership season, if he is to build a squad capable of challenging Celtic and Aberdeen for the Scottish Premiership title.

The Rangers squad’s flaws have already been highlighted, following their embarrassing exit from the Europa League at the preliminary qualifying stages.

One area of the Portuguese’s squad that he absolutely must address over the next couple of weeks is his forward department, and an interesting option for them could be Terriers striker Nahki Wells, who has just 12 months remaining on his current deal with the West Yorkshire outfit.

The 27-year-old has pace in abundance, with his game being based on high energy levels, and the manner in which he constantly harasses the opposition defence.

He is also no slouch in front of goal, having scored 87 goals in 235 outings over the past six years, and he would add a certain kind of potency to Rangers’ attacking play.

Wells’ wealth of experience of playing in leagues robust in nature such as the Championship and League One would stand him in good stead if he made the switch to Ibrox.

And with just a year remaining on his deal with Huddersfield, Rangers might just be able to secure themselves a bargain, with the Terriers unlikely to risk losing him for nothing next year.
