A number of clubs are eyeing a loan move for Huddersfield Town midfielder Kyle Dempsey, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Dempsey has found his first-team chances limited so far this season and has yet to feature for David Wagner’s side.

With Huddersfield riding high at the top of the Championship Wagner is reluctant to make any changes to his side and it seems Dempsey will find himself surplus to requirements.

A host of League One clubs have been alerted to Dempsey’s potential availability and made enquiries to Huddersfield about taking the versatile performer on loan.

Dempsey joined Huddersfield from Carlisle last summer after impressing for the League Two club where he won the club’s Player of the Year award in his first year as a professional.

Dempsey joined Huddersfield as a midfielder, but has also played as a left-back and right-back for the Championship club.

The 20-year-old made 25 appearances in all competitions for Huddersfield last season, but only 10 of those where in the starting XI.

Dempsey is still highly-regarded at Huddersfield, but they feel he would be best served to go out on loan to get valuable first-team action under his belt this season.
