Huddersfield fans were delighted to see former star score for Derby against rivals Leeds.
Derby matches between West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town and Leeds United have been off the fixture list this season after the Terriers’ promotion to the Premier League.
But the rivalry still remains, and Town fans were quick to poke fun at Leeds last night after former Huddersfield ace Kasey Palmer ended their hopes of a first win in 2018.
Leeds have been on a terrible run of form since the turn of the year, and new manager Paul Heckingbottom is still searching for his first win after three games in charge.
The Whites had been heading for a 2-1 win at Derby before Kasey Palmer scored a last minute equaliser to make it 2-2.
Palmer is on loan at Derby from Chelsea and also had a loan spell at Huddersfield last year which started promisingly although was dampened by injury.
Leeds are down in 11th place and the draw was a real hit to their hopes of re-igniting a play-off challenge.
Palmer became a bit of a fan favourite for Huddersfield and this late goal helped add to this affection.
