Huddersfield Town have won the race for Chelsea starlet Kasey Palmer, thanks to their boss David Wagner, HITC Sport understands.
HITC Sport understands that Palmer had interest from the Premier League, a host of Championship clubs and both of Scotland’s Old Firm, having impressed hugely in Chelsea’s youth squad last season.

Burnley, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Reading, Cardiff – as well as Celtic and Rangers – were just some of the clubs to who an interest – but HITC Sport understands that Huddersfield are set to land Palmer.
Chelsea’s hierarchy have taken a close look at the options, but the reports on the highly-rated Wagner – who was Jurgen Klopp’s number two at Borussia Dortmund – has won the day for him.

A source told HITC Sports: “The deal is not done yet but Chelsea clearly feel David Wagner is the right man for the player to learn him.”
19-year-old Palmer, who can play anywhere in the forward line, signed a new three-year deal with Chelsea earlier this year and has already been called up to England’s Under-21 squad.
