Scottish Premiership champions Celtic reportedly want Tommy Smith – is Dortmund youngster Herbert Bockhorn set to replace him at Huddersfield?

Borussia Dortmund youngster Herbert Bockhorn is set to sign for Huddersfield Town on Thursday for a fee of around £220,000, according to Reviersport.
The Terriers have made a habit of bringing in bargain signings from German football over the last few years, particularly during the successful double act of coach David Wagner and director of football Stuart Webber.
And Bockhorn is on the verge of following in the footsteps of Christopher Schindler, Elias Kachunga and co.
An attack-minded Ugandan right-back who can also play on the wing, current Huddersfield boss Jan Siewert knows Bockhorn well from his time in charge of Dortmund’s second team.
Reviersport believes that a reunion is on the cards with Bockhorn expected to be a Huddersfield player by the end of today. He will cost a cut-price £220,000 fee before signing a two-year contract with the Championship outfit. Bochum were interested but they apparently didn’t want to meet Dortmund’s price tag.

This could have ramifications north of the border too. The Examiner Live claims that Scottish Premiership champions Celtic have identified long-serving Huddersfield star Tommy Smith as a potential option as they look to bring in a new right-back this summer.
The Sun (24 June, page 57) reports that Smith is valued at £2.5 million. And Bockhorn could be his replacement.
