Solanke has not even made the bench for Liverpool this season so far, although that could soon change with an intense run of fixtures upcoming.
Huddersfield could potentially have offered an easier route to the first team than he faces at Liverpool, where he must displace Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge in the pecking order.
Even when he does get a chance, Solanke knows failure to take it could see him spend another few weeks on the bench, an intense amount of pressure.
Huddersfield is a bit different; their strikers have failed to score a single goal this season, with their two Premier League goals coming via a midfielder and a defender.
Terriers boss David Wagner is a close pal of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, and likes to play attacking, attractive football.
Liverpool may have missed a trick not accepting Huddersfield’s offer, and if by January they realise they are not providing Solanke with the game time he needs, then they should re-open talks and see if Wagner is still interested in a loan deal.
