Huddersfield extended their lead at the top of the Championship with a 1-0 away win over Yorkshire rivals Leeds United on Saturday.

A superb second-half strike from midfielder Aaron Mooy was enough to seal three points for the Terriers as they continued their amazing start to the 2016-17 Championship season.

With five wins and a draw from their opening six matches, this is Huddersfield’s best ever start to a Championship season as they currently sit top of the table, four points ahead of promotion favourites Newcastle United in second.

In contrast, Leeds’ poor start under Gary Monk continues as they currently lie in the relegation zone with just one win in their first six league matches this season.

Needless to say, Town fans are ecstatic with the start they have made as they are starting to look like surprise promotion contenders at this early stage in the season.
