Premier League newcomers Aston Villa are apparently keen to sign Terence Kongolo from Huddersfield Town.

There weren’t many positives for Huddersfield Town to enjoy during a miserable 2018/19 but Terence Kongolo was one of the few.
The Netherlands international centre-back cost a club record £17.5 million when he signed from Monaco last summer, according to Sky Sports, and The Terriers probably would have succumbed to relegation a lot sooner without their combative, versatile and uncompromising Dutch defender.
Of course, with Huddersfield on their way back to the Championship they appear to be powerless to prevent Kongolo from forcing a move away from the John Smith’s Stadium.

And, according to The Mail, Aston Villa are one of the clubs making enquiries about the former Feyenoord starlets availability.
But how much would Kongolo cost? And could he do better than Dean Smith’s newly promoted side? In the eyes of Huddersfield fans, the answer to those questions are 1) at least £20 million and 2) absolutely, yes.
Blessed with superb positional sense, real athleticism and the ability to fill in effectively at left-back, Kongolo has so much talent and potential. This would be a real coup for an ambitious Aston Villa side keen to spend and spend big.
