Norwich City defeated Rotherham United 3-1 at Carrow Road.

Former player Darren Huckerby took to social networking site Twitter in order to lavish praise on midfielder Wes Hoolahan following his contribution in Norwich City’s 3-1 win over Rotherham United.
The Championship promotion contenders consolidated their place in the automatic promotion places with a comfortable 3-1 win over the struggling Millers at Carrow Road.
The Canaries were on top for much of the afternoon and found the net through Hoolahan, Cameron Jerome and Steven Naismith late on after Dexter Blackstock momentarily gave the Millers hope.

Norwich had as many as 22 efforts on goal and 58% possession, and it was midfielder Hoolahan who was driving them forward time and time again with his close ball control and penetrating passes.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Huckerby remarked how it was a pleasure to watch the Republic of Ireland international in action and added how Rotherham simply could not get near him.
Hoolahan, 34, has made more than 250 league appearances for Norwich since joining the club in 2008, and he will no doubt be remembered as one of the club’s best midfielders in recent history.

The win leaves Alex Neil’s men at the top of the Championship table, one point ahead of fellow contenders Newcastle United who also recorded a 3-1 home victory over Brentford.
Next up for Norwich is a midweek trip to Fulham before they entertain Preston North End next weekend.
