Leeds United goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald is on Eintracht Frankfurt’s radar, says Bruno Hubner.

A recent report in BILD claimed that German side Frankfurt want to secure the services of Leeds goalkeeper Wiedwald this summer.
The Bundesliga club are interested in signing the 28-year-old goalkeeper, who cost Leeds £500,000 in transfer fees when he joined from Werder Bremen in the summer transfer window, according to The Express.

Frankfurt’s official Twitter page quotes Hubner as saying: “It is correct that we are dealing with a return for Felix Wiedwald, but we cannot report anything fixed yet and we have to wait a little bit more.”

Leeds United exit likely?
Much was expected of Wiedwald when he arrived at Leeds in the summer of 2017, but the goalkeeper lost his place in the starting lineup following a string of errors.
The 28-year-old has struggled to cope with the football in the Championship and has looked shaky between the posts.
With Hubner publicly stating Frankfurt’s interest in the German, it does look as though that the 28-year-old will leave Elland Road in the summer transfer window.
Wiedwald was on the books of Frankfurt from 2013 until 2015 when he moved to Bremen, and perhaps he could regain his form at he Bundesliga club.
