Tottenham Hotspur are facing competition from unnamed Chinese clubs in the race for Watford’s star winger Richarlison, according to a report from the Watford Observer.

The 20-year-old arrived in the Premier League a relative unknown following his summer move from Brazilian Serie A side Fluminense, but a string of eye-catching performances from the winger have developed the Brazilian under-20 international into one of the most coveted young players in the Premier League.

A well-taken goal on the weekend against West Ham took the Brazilian’s tally to five goals for the season – a feat that has not gone unnoticed, with Spurs reportedly eyeing up a January move (Evening Standard).

According to the report, multiple Chinese clubs have already contacted Watford owner Gino Pozzo over a potential January move for the former Fluminense winger.

However, should Richarlison keep up the form he is currently demonstrating, the Hornets will be reluctant to let their star man go unless they receive an offer too good to refuse.
