Could Arsenal appoint Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez as Arsene Wenger’s successor?

Steve Howey has posed a question on social networking site Twitter regarding Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez and Arsenal.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger announced on the club’s official website today that he will leave the North London outfit at the end of the season.
Benitez is in charge of Newcastle at the moment and is doing a fine job at the Magpies.
Newcastle look set to retain their Premier League status for the 2018-19 campaign, having won automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2016-17 season.
Former Newcastle defender Howey has asked on Twitter whether it is a worry for the Magpies that Wenger is leaving and if Benitez does not get backing in the summer transfer window.
Newcastle fans have responded to Howey’s question on Twitter, and they seem worried.

Benitez is a hugely experienced manager who has been in charge of big clubs such as Liverpool and Real Madrid.
One should not be surprised if Arsenal do make an approach for the Spaniard, who would be a success at the Gunners if he is given time and transfer funds.
