Eddie Howe has been quoted by Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie that Bruno Guimaraes is “all in” at Newcastle United – amid reports Real Madrid want to replace Manchester United-bound Casemiro with the Brazilian superstar.
Bruno, 24, has been in sensational form for Newcastle since joining the club from Lyon in January. Costing a fee in the region of £40million, the Brazil international is already a fan favourite at Newcastle – scoring five times in 21-22.
His form has continued this season, starring in Newcastle’s midfield. The Toon have picked up four points from their opening two games, without conceding a goal. Bruno has been exceptional, the heartbeat of the Toon side.
Unsurprisingly, interest has come forward for Bruno. It is claimed that Real Madrid are considering the midfielder as a replacement for Casemiro, who is a target for Manchester United. But Howe has given his verdict on the interest.
“If there’s another Bruno, please let us know. They don’t grow on trees. It was an incredible piece of business. He came with no way out, no escape clause – he was all in from day one. He’s an incredible person, a brilliant lad.
“I don’t mind the speculation (with Real Madrid). But Bruno has the ability to achieve special things. We need to give him platform to achieve those things here,” Howe said, as per Sky Sports reporter Downie on Twitter.

The lure of Real Madrid, especially for a Brazilian player, will certainly be tempting. The likes of Ronaldo, Casemiro himself, Roberto Carlos, Marcelo and more have all become legends at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bruno will surely be tempted to add his name to that list. But if Bruno has committed his future to Newcastle and is willing to remain on Tyneside, it just shows what a player – and person – he is. Certainly, he is loved on Tyneside.
