Former referee Howard Webb has told the Daily Mirror which Premier League manager gave him the most grief, during his officiating career.
When asked which manger gave him the most grief the 45-year-old claims that it was current Sunderland boss David Moyes, when he responded to the question stating: “They can all have their moments of course.
“But I think one that probably gave me the most stick really, or I felt held no love for the referee profession was David Moyes. And he would be quick to criticise me, not particularly from the technical area.”

Webb also revealed to the newspaper which player was the most difficult to grow a rapport with and which set of fans used to create the most hostile environment. He stated: “Stoke City and Everton. At Stoke I had quite a good reputation there I think, but it was always quite hostile for visiting clubs and match officials.
“With Everton, again a great club behind the scenes and I liked Everton a lot, but there fans were so partisan you know, a clear situation against Everton that you would penalise would be greeted with howls of derision.”
Webb, who now works as a pundit went on to state that he felt that struggled to build a rapport with Craig Bellamy, whilst revealing that he felt happy refereeing the likes of Robbie Savage and Joey Barton.
