Wolverhampton Wanderers’ reported interest in Jack Butland is good news for Celtic regarding Scott Bain.

If rumours are to be believed then Wolverhampton Wanderers want to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland.
According to The Express, newly-promoted Wolves are lining up a £35 million move for the 25-year-old star and would like a deal done before the World Cup starts in June.
And that could, in a roundabout way, be a big positive for Celtic.
The Sun reported last month that Wolves were also interested in signing Scott Bain, who is on loan at Celtic from Dundee.

But if their attentions have turned to a big-money move for Butland then surely it makes the Hoops’ chances of a permanent deal far less complicated.
Brendan Rodgers’s hopes of signing him were under serious threat when a rising club like Wolves were linked, but if the Molineux side are now keen on Butland then it would appear as if Celtic have one less club to battle for his signature.
Bain, 26, hasn’t started a game under Rodgers since Craig Gordon returned from injury, however, and that may irk him, but time will tell how it pans out.
