Arsene Wenger wants Jack Wilshere to stay at Arsenal but now the manager is leaving could that play into Everton hands?

Arsenal are currently on the search for a new manager for next season following the news that Arsene Wenger will leave his position this summer.
The club have confirmed that after almost 22 years in charge of the Gunners, Wenger will step down at the end of the current campaign.

How it could affect contract negotiations
One of the ongoing sagas at the Emirates Stadium concerning new deals involves Jack Wilshere, who is out of contract at the end of this term and is yet to put pen to paper on an extension.
Wenger told the Independent last Thursday (April 19) that there was a “long-term” offer on the table and that the Frenchman hoped Wilshere would stay.

That came a day before the news of the 68-year-old’s departure was made public and how the uncertainty of who will be in charge of the North Londoners next year will affect negotiations remains to be seen.
Everton are sure to be watching proceedings keenly, though, with the Daily Star reporting they are among the sides interested in signing Wilshere on a free transfer, while the Guardian says the England international is one of West Ham United’s top targets.
