Both the 25-year-old and Sheffield Wednesday have expressed their desire to conclude a full-time deal.

Sheffield Wednesday’s chances of bringing Frederico Venancio back to Hillsborough next season could be affected by Sunday’s final day results in Portugal.
Venancio’s loan deal expired after Wednesday’s 5-1 win against Norwich on the Championship’s final day – since which both the Owls and the player have expressed their desire to conclude a permanent transfer.
With Financial Fair Play to consider, however, Wednesday will be keen to get the cheapest deal possible. And the prospect of Venancio’s parent club – Vitoria de Setubal – being relegated from Portugal’s Primeira Liga looked to have offered hope in the Owls’ search for a bargain.

But a 1-0 win against Tondela last night was enough to preserve Vitoria’s top flight status, and could hand renewed leverage to Jose Couceiro’s side when negotiations commence.
A Bola reported earlier this year that Wednesday would have to fork out £2.6 million to sign Venancio on a permanent basis – although it remains to be seen how close to that amount the Owls will be willing to go.
