Tottenham Hotspur have already been linked with a host of players ahead of the summer transfer window.
With the summer transfer window edging ever closer to opening, we take a look at how Tottenham Hotspur’s line-up could look next season.
Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris
There’s no doubting that Lloris remains Tottenham’s number one stopper, and with Champions League football on offer there is no longer any reason for the Frenchman to leave White Hart Lane.
Right-back: Kyle Walker
Walker was arguably Tottenham’s most improved player last campaign. His attacking intent is key.
Centre-backs: Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld
There is little doubt that Vertonghen and Alderweireld will remain as Spurs’ first-choice pairing. They have both been in sensational form this past season.
Left-back: Danny Rose
Rose is another player who has improved hugely under Pochettino’s guidance.
Defensive midfielders: Eric Dier/Victor Wanyama – Moussa Dembele
Dier and Dembele’s pairing in the heart of Spurs’ midfielder worked brilliantly last season, but Pochettino is likely to look to add more depth in this area over the summer.
The Argentine boss has been tracking Southampton’s Victor Wanyama for some time, and Sky Sports suggest that he could move on from St. Mary’s in the coming months.
Dembele’s place in the team looks relatively secure, given his rare skill-set.
Right-wing: Adam Lallana/Erik Lamela
Tottenham are reportedly tracking Lallana, who they feel would add a lot to their attacking ranks.
Pochettino worked with Lallana at Southampton and the England international would make an excellent signing for Spurs.
Lamela has improved a lot, and still has a role to play at Spurs, but he may need more competition to push on further.
Attacking midfield: Dele Alli
The youngster has become one of Spurs’ most integral players since moving from MK Dons, and he looks certain to be a regular starter next term.
Left-wing: Andre Schurrle/Christian Eriksen
Schurrle is a player who has been linked with Spurs, and would surely enhance their options in forward situations.
The German international is capable as a wide-forward, or as an out and out striker and he would push Eriksen for a place in the side.
Striker: Harry Kane/Callum Wilson
Kane is certain to remain as Tottenham’s main striker, after scoring over 20 goals in both of the last two Premier League seasons.
However, Spurs are likely to be on the look out for back-up and Bournemouth front man Wilson would fit in well with their current squad.
