Yves Bissouma has been one of the best players for Tottenham Hotspur so far this season, but the midfielder really let his teammates down against Luton Town.

Tottenham Hotspur took on Luton Town away from home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Yves Bissouma started the match for Spurs.

It was supposed to be an easy win for Tottenham against a Luton side who are likely to be relegated from the Premier League.

Although Tottenham did pick up all three points from the encounter in the end, they were not particularly convincing and had to work hard for the three points.

Richarlison missed some very good chances in the first half.

And Spurs also played all of the second half with 10 men.

Yves Bissouma sent off for Tottenham Hotspur vs Luton Town

That’s because Yves Bissouma was sent off for Tottenham in the closing stages of the first half.

The 27-year-old Mali international defensive midfielder was shown his first yellow card of the match in the 39th minute.

And then in first-half injury time, Bissouma was given his marching orders by referee John Brooks for trying to win a free kick.

The defensive midfielder went to the ground claiming contact.

Brooks saw through that and gave the Tottenham player his second yellow card.

Micky Hazard criticises Yves Bissouma

Former Tottenham player Micky Hazard was hugely disappointed with Bissouma.

As you can see below, Hazard has noted that Bissouma has been brilliant for Spurs this season, but he has criticised him for being “silly” against Luton.
