How Russell Henley's career earnings on the PGA Tour compare to Joaquin Niemann's on LIV Golf as both win this weekend

Russell Henley and Joaquin Niemann are the latest champions in world golf, winning the Charles Schwab Challenge and LIV Golf Korea respectively.

Henley claimed his first PGA Tour win of the season at the Charles Schwab Challenge, defeating Eric Cole in a playoff.

The American duo both finished on 12-under at Colonial Country Club, with Henley making a birdie on the first playoff hole to clinch the victory.

Meanwhile, Niemann also emerged victorious via a playoff, claiming his eighth win on LIV Golf after edging out Talor Gooch in Busan.

Along with their titles, both champions have been rewarded financially for their latest efforts, with their career earnings now looking intriguing to say the least.

Russell Henley’s PGA Tour earnings vs Joaquin Niemann’s on LIV Golf

Having joined the PGA Tour in 2013, Henley has just passed the $50million mark for career earnings after receiving $1.782million at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

With his figure of $51,462,577, the American is now 17th in the PGA Tour’s all-time money list, having just overtaken Zach Johnson.

Meanwhile, Niemann has now earned more than $76million on LIV Golf after his move from the PGA Tour in 2022, with that total not including his signing fee.

It is quite a remarkable contrast, with the Chilean clearly making the most of the huge financial gains available on the Saudi-backed tour.

Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler chase Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour earnings

With many high-profile players taking a break from PGA Tour action this week, Henley’s switch with Johnson represents the only change to the money list top 20.

And despite his lengthy absence, legendary figure Tiger Woods remains top of the pile, although Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are rapidly closing in on his tally.

They have a chance to do exactly that this week on the PGA Tour, with both superstars in the field for the Memorial Tournament.

For now, however, Woods is safe at the top of the pile with $120,999,166, followed by McIlroy in second on $115,575,791, and Scheffler in third on $111,095,029.
