Robert Lewandowski is said to be desperate to join Real Madrid from Bayern Munich which could be good for Tottenham keeping Harry Kane.

The future of Robert Lewandowski as a Bayern Munich is becoming increasingly unsure, with the Metro reporting the striker is angling for a transfer to Real Madrid.
This comes after Lewandowski publicly criticised Bayern’s transfer policy and is now said to be taking Spanish lessons ahead of a potential move to La Liga.

Madrid are understood to be on the lookout for a new number nine with a recent hamstring injury to Karim Benzema meaning unproven youngster Borja Mayoral played in the shock 1-0 home defeat to Real Betis in the league.
Lewandowski would of course fit that bill and if Los Blancos are to make a move, then it could inadvertently help Tottenham Hotspur keep arguably their best player in Harry Kane.
Kane has been linked with the Champions League holders before, most recently by former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood who told Sky Sports that unless the North London side win the Premier League or FA Cup this season then the England international would be tempted.

How much Sherwood actually knows about the future of the 24-year-old is debateable, but Real certainly have previous when it comes to signing Tottenham’s best players with both Gareth Bale and Luka Modric currently in their starting XI.
Genuine top-class number nines in European football are few and far between, with both Lewandowski and Kane falling into that bracket, so if Madrid can busy themselves trying to sign the Pole then that can only be a good thing for Spurs.
