The Tottenham Hotspur loanee is reportedly not wanted back at his parent club but does he have a future in North London?

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Espanyol have no desire to bring Tottenham Hotspur loanee Pau Lopez back to Spain this summer after he made it clear he wished to move to Spurs 12 months earlier.
But has the goalkeeper’s dream of making it in North London already turned into a nightmare?
After all, the 22-year-old is yet to play a single minute for Tottenham’s first-team and he has only made the bench 10 times in all competitions, so his decision to move to England in an attempt to oust Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm has certainly not gone according to plan thus far.
Lopez would have known how difficult it would be to force his way into the reckoning but his complete lack of opportunities suggests Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has not been sufficiently impressed to drop Lloris or Vorm despite the sheer volume of matches Spurs have played to date.

A cup appearance would have been the least Lopez was hoping for, and yet his decision to turn his back on Espanyol for a shot at the Premier League looks to have fallen flat.
With his parent club reportedly not keen on welcoming him back and Pochettino said to be unconvinced, a penny for the Spaniard’s thoughts right now.
