According to ESPN, U.S. Soccer pays both its men’s and women’s players $10,000 per World Cup match regardless of outcome.
This comes down to the pay agreement that sees both the USMNT and the USWNT under the same bracket, both for flat fees per game and when it comes to tournament winnings.
The USMNT’s top earners
When it comes to earning the most money as a USMNT player, it very much depends on your club.
Christian Pulisic sits at the top of the tree with around $27.5m per year from international fees, his $7.5 million salary at AC Milan, plus a whopping $20 million from off-field deals.
Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino earns around $6 million per year from his base salary with the United States.
At the player level, Weston McKennie receives around $15 million per year, whilst the rest of the USMNT players all sit under the $10 million mark.
