Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will have to pay £40 million for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves, according to a report.
How much Ruben Neves will cost Arsenal or Liverpool
The Telegraph have reported that Wolves are ready to sell Neves in the summer transfer window and will demand as much as £40 million in transfer fees for the Portugal international midfielder.
Wolves are reportedly preparing for life without Neves, with negotiations over a new deal “mutually on hold”.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with the 26-year-old.
The Sun on Sunday (19/3; page 64) have reported that Arsenal are among the clubs who are keen on signing Neves, described as “a top, top player” and “sensational” by former Manchester United defender Gary Neville on Sky Sports Premier League (7:29pm, March 18, 2022).
According to 90min in March, Liverpool have told super-agent Jorge Mendes that they want to sign Neves.

HITC Verdict: Potential bargain signing
In our view, for £40 million, Ruben Neves would be a bargain signing for Liverpool or Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The Portugal international midfielder is one of the best players in his position and is hugely experienced.
And he is 26.
Neves is about to hit his peak years, and given his dynamic and combative style of playing, he would make Liverpool or Arsenal much better in the middle of the park.
